5 Cute Things Your Dog Will Do in 2019

Happy New Year! It’s hard to believe, but 2018 is in the rear view mirror. As we change our calendars—and try to get used to writing 2019 on things—many of us are pondering what the next 12 months will bring. We’ll leave speculation about news and pop culture to the experts, but we do have a pretty good idea on what some of our four-legged patients will be up to. Read on as a Glendale, AZ vet lists some adorable things your dog will do this year.

Head Tilts

Does your dog sometimes cock his head to the side when you ask him a question, as though to ask you for clarification? This is one of Fido’s most adorable habits, and we’re sure we will see plenty of it in the coming year!

Innocent Looks

Fido is a wonderful pet, but he isn’t perfect. This year, some of our canine patients will be a bit naughty. Your pup may chew your shoe, eat your book, or destroy a couch cushion. Chances are, he’ll put on his most adorable—and theatrical—look of innocence when you come home. (Tip: making sure your dog has plenty of toys and is getting enough activity will really help curb these bad behaviors.)

Forget How To Dog

Some of our canine friends are, well, a bit clumsy. Your pooch may tumble over while running after a ball, or run smack into your glass door. Or, he may fail miserably at trying to catch a treat. Fido’s goofy streak is one of his most adorable traits!

Happy Dances

One thing we love about dogs is the act that they are so enthusiastic about, well, pretty much everything. Fido may jump for joy to see you when you get home after a long day at work, and will bounce with happiness at the promise of a treat, walk, or car ride.

Dream

Studies show that yes, dogs do dream. (Of course, anyone who has ever watched their pups twitching and whining in their sleep already knew that.) No one knows what our furry companions dream about, but we suspect treats, cats, and car rides may be involved.
